MCCA Meets in Nashville to Discuss the President's TF Recommendations

MCCA with the support of the COPS Office met in Nashville today to discuss the implementation of the Presidents TF on 21st Century Policing recommendations. MCCA members were joined by Nashville area chiefs is a day long conversation on the challenges and opportunities with implementing the recommendations. The meeting was hosted by Metro Nashville Chief Steve Anderson at the Downtown Library. The meeting opened with a special presentation on the Nashville civil rights experience that became a model approach in the 1960s and 1970s.

The meeting in Nashville is the first of three conversations scheduled over the summer. The next meeting will be in Arlington, TX in July followed by Tucson in August.
